.....I think is a book by Magnus Mills. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Scheme-Full-Employment-Magnus-Mills/dp/0007151322 I haven't read it but have heard good things about the novel - he's a comic writer (bit like Howard Jacobsen - incidentally, I attempted to read his 'Kalooki Nights' this week but couldn't get past the first 30 pages - first time this has ever happened to me.) Anyway.....I'm unemployed, media sales didn't work out and now I might be an commissioning editor in Sevenoaks or wing it as a full blown editor in Sidcup - and blimey, the thoughts of these as my scheme for full employment certainly makes me feel better. Fingers crossed then....
